Engaging new audiences and redefining theatrical value — a conversation with leaders from Paramount, Regal Cinemas, and Deadline.
Kino Industries will present CtrlMovie, a premium experience for theaters, in its most complete and fully realized form at CinemaCon, marking the first full reveal of the platform.
Designed for the theatrical ecosystem, CtrlMovie allows audiences to collectively and instantaneously influence narrative outcomes using their smartphones, transforming each screening into a unique, shared experience. Cinema United has invited the CtrlMovie team to present during a special morning program at Caesars Palace on April 15. The panel will feature Chris Aronson, former president of distribution at Paramount Pictures and Twentieth Century Fox, Brooks LeBoeuf, the senior vice president and U.S. head of content at Regal Cinemas, Chady Eli Mattar, the chief executive officer of Kino Industries, and Tobias Weber, the chief executive officer of CtrlMovie. Pete Hammond, Deadline’s awards columnist and chief film critic, will moderate the session.
You are in control. You make the decisions. You write the story. CtrlMovie’s fully patented and seamless technology combines the realism and production values of film with the interactivity of a videogame to create an exhilarating entertainment experience that is qualitatively distinct.
CtrlMovie is the only interactive technology that is playable theatrically as a collaborative experience. Using a simple voting system on your phone, you can make key decisions during a screening and change the outcome of the story.
To participate in a screening, download the CtrlMovie app.
No platform or system is too big or too small for the CtrlMovie experience. From gaming systems to streaming hardware, CtrlMovie can easily integrate into any home distribution platform. With the click of a button a CtrlMovie project can be published on mobile devices, home entertainment, and in movie theaters around the world.
